FAQ

How do I get started?

Click on the reservations button on the top or bottom of the page and choose a class the fits best for you. You may just want to choose the drop in to your first class to try it out or maybe you want to book a package to get a discount on the rate.

What supplies do I need?

You may want to bring a water bottle and a towel to class to make yourself more comfortable. I provide mats (with a rental fee of $3) and props for you to use if you don’t want to bring your own mat.

What are your policies?

All sales are final.

All promotions are non-negotiable.

Classes start on time. Which means that if you show up at 9:00 for a 9:00 class, the door will be locked, you will not be admitted to the class and you will not be refunded for the class. I recommend showing up 5-10 minutes before the start of the class. That way we don’t steal time from our classmates who did show up early enough to allow the class to start on time. This is the most important rule.

I’ve never done yoga before and I’m not flexible, is this for me?

Yoga is for everyone and can be adapted to anyone’s lifestyle. It’s less about touching your toes and more about being aware of what you learn about yourself on the journey down to your toes. While yoga does have a physical practice tied in to it, yoga is also practiced throughout our day in the form of breath work, focus, and awareness. If you’re concerned about joining a group class, maybe you want to book a private lesson with me first, which you can schedule with me directly via email. You could also try out one of my breath and meditation classes or book the Yin class as it moves at a slower pace than the traditional Vinyasa class.

I have an injury, illness or disability. Can you still work with me?

Yes. I used yoga to heal from a back injury. Large yoga classes can be problematic for students with injuries as there is a tendency to get lost among the other students. Thankfully, I have a studio which lends itself to smaller class sizes. I know how to take time and work with injuries, as I’ve done it with my own body many times now. That being said, if you have a serious concern, consider asking your physician if Yoga is right for you before scheduling a class.

Where do you teach?

Inner Space Yoga studio is located at 5929 Riverdale Ave. Bronx, NY 10471. Metered parking is available on the street. There is also more free parking available in the neighborhood nearby.

Can I join your classes virtually from home?

I don’t currently offer virtual classes but I am in the process of creating an in depth catalog of vidoes to make available as an online studio. Stay tune for updates!
