We all relate to invisible, intangible, unquantifiable things with words all the time. Doing so helps us feel at home in the world and helps us feel as if we have some level of agency in life.
The chakra system allows us to break up the enormity of energy that flows through us and emanates from us into smaller more relatable pieces. Once we understand the individual pieces on their own, then we can understand the way they work with one another. When we understand the relationship between the individual chakras, then we can begin to comprehend the whole. Relating to the whole of our being instead of individual pieces, we become initiates and officially begin our training to become masters of self.
Increased awareness means increased levels of energy and stress in the body. In the yogic tradition, everything the mind experiences is filtered through the first chakra of duality, the root chakra.
As energy enters the body, the root chakra will either be empowered with a general sense of fear or a general sense of trust. From this single decision, our lives unfold in an infinite amount of specific ways. Learning to understand these 7 chakras better and how they potentially effect your well being will offer you a framework to help relate to the enormity of life experiences. Conceptual frameworks offer us a way of understanding and ascribing meaning to our lives.
Yoga is unique because it offers you something personal, something that only you could truly know about yourself.
The yoga process takes intangible mental concepts and belief systems and applies them to the physical body through dynamic movement, static postures, breathing techniques and focused conscious awareness.
This workshop focuses on the energy of the subtle body with the mental construct of the chakra system and offers specific techniques to help you relate to yourself as a whole being with unknowable potential.
