Yoga is the process we go through on our way to meditation.
The Guided Meditation class is 60 minutes and begins with gentle physical movement to relieve stress and tension held in the neck, shoulders arms and hands. When comfortable, the body finds stillness and awareness is directed to the breath for the purpose of clearing and calming the mind. Learning to direct your awareness to the breath brings your thinking mind to the present moment as it is experienced in the body.
With practice, one learns to access states of meditation with less effort and connect the small moments throughout the day so the benefits of meditation can be enjoyed with less effort.
