
Modern dancer and Riverdale resident Annmaria Mazzini leads this hour long dancing workshop exploring fluid, healing movement through a series of guided meditations and creative prompts.
Students will be lead through a warm-up incorporating a simple phrase that is repeated multiple times, softening into a rhythmic sense of flow that relaxes the mind and awakens the senses. As movements evolve and connect with images, meanings, and intentions, feelings emerge.
Dancing with our feelings, our thoughts, and our questions allows them to transform and evolve. Repetitive, breath focused movement can also release fascia and create new pathways in the body.
No prior experience in dance is needed to take this class! All of the exercises can be tailored to your level of comfort. Come with a sense of play and ease, and give your body and your spirit the gift of movement.
