BOUNDARIES, NOT WALLS

A Yama and Niyama Workshop

BOUNDARIES, NOT WALLS

You say yes when you mean no. You give your energy away and wonder later why you feel resentful or depleted. Or maybe you've swung the other way entirely — shutting people out, keeping everyone at arm's length, calling it self-protection when it's really just isolation.

The Yamas and Niyamas are the ethical foundation of yoga — a set of guidelines for how we treat others and how we treat ourselves. They're not about being harder or softer. They're about knowing where you actually stand, clearly enough that you don't have to choose between being open and being taken advantage of.

This workshop moves through discussion, reflection, and gentle practice to help you get honest about where your real boundaries are, not the ones you think you're supposed to have. We'll talk through what it actually looks like to hold a boundary without shutting your heart down in the process. Expect more talking and reflection than a typical movement class, paired with practice to help the ideas actually land in the body, not just the head.

No prior knowledge of yoga philosophy is needed. This is for anyone who's ever said yes when they meant no, or shut someone out when they didn't mean to.
