Frequently Asked Questions

What is Grounding?

Grounding replicates the exact experience of having your feet in the grass or walking barefoot on the beach. While these effects are celebrated by modern bio-hackers, they are also backed by compelling biophysical research.

A major misunderstanding of modern life is viewing the human body as a completely closed system. When in reality, we are part of an open system that requires food, air, and deep natural connection to thrive. For generations, being separated from the Earth by rubber-soled shoes, synthetic flooring, and pavement has disconnected us from our natural grounding port—the Earth itself—where our captured static electricity was designed to safely and consistently dissipate.

Stepping onto the Earth with your bare feet creates a natural, cyclical flow of energy, like flowing water. This is the physiological state you were born to live in, and it is exactly why breaking out of anxious patterns and negative behavioral loops can feel so challenging when we are physically insulated from the ground.

What is a grounded yoga studio and how does it affect my practice?

We are the pioneering studio in New York City to install a conductive copper grid across our floor which connects to the earth below the foundations of the building. Every class on our schedule takes place on custom grounding mats connected to this network. This direct electron feed stabilizes your cellular wellbeing, which supports healthy circulation by reducing blood pressure and lowering systemic inflammation at the same time. Within 20 minutes, you experience a gentle down-regulation of your nervous system and a deep cellular recharge.

When your system doesn't have to work as hard to reduce internal noise, you can direct more attention to your presence, breath, and alignment—allowing you to return home to your inner power even faster.

What if I am hesitant about grounding or have a medical condition, like high blood pressure, or a medical device?
Personal agency is foundational in your practice, and you are never forced to use our grounding equipment. If you have an implanted electronic device, like a pacemaker or insulin pump, or are on blood thinners, you must consult your physician before using a grounded mat. For anyone who prefers not to connect to ground for any reason, simply bring your standard rubber yoga mat to class. Because rubber and wood are natural electrical insulators, your personal mat completely blocks the conduction, allowing you to practice exactly as you always have. The copper grid on the floor will not affect you unless you are using a specialized studio grounding mat because the floor itself is not grounded.

How do I reserve a spot, and what is your class capacity policy?

To preserve strict spatial and energetic integrity, we deliberately cap all open-level classes at exactly 18 mats. We manage all registrations, packages, and check-ins seamlessly through the schedule & reservations page. We welcome drop-in reservations but do not guarantee availability in the classes, we strongly encourage all students to reserve their mat online prior to arriving at the studio. If a class is completely full, you can join the automated waitlist, and the system will instantly alert you via text or email the moment a spot opens up.

I am completely new to yoga or returning after a long break. Where should I begin?
If you are looking to eliminate guesswork and build a resilient movement foundation from day one, we recommend beginning with our open level and level 1 classesd such as: Restorative, Yin, Reiki Flow, Vinyasa 1 and Hatha 1. Our
classes are designed for every level of practice. We also run a 4-week Beginners Series which strips away conventional fitness noise to teach you geometric precision, alignment, and conscious breath mechanics. Rather than forcing you to correct deep postural compensations down the road, you’ll learn to distinguish healthy tissue engagement from toxic structural strain from the beginning. It provides an uncompromised, structured environment to safely transition your body from basic mechanics to absolute structural self-mastery.

Are weekend workshops and specialized somatic immersions included in my pricing?
All masterclasses in our monthly Self-Mastery Workshop Series are included in our
monthly subscription packages. All other workshops are available for purchase. This structure ensures our high-frequency practitioners can consistently deepen their personal practice of returning home without facing unpredictable financial friction.

Is there parking available?

Yes, the parking lot attached to our building services the entire block and can be used while you are in class.

Do I need to bring my own mat to the studio?

No, mats are included in the cost of the classes. Specialized grounding mats are provided for you use.
