Body Language

Learn what your body is telling you, and answer back.

12 weeksOne-on-one with BenIn person in the Bronx or online

Your body has been talking to you.

Your body has been talking to you for a long time. It speaks in tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, a tired afternoon, a mind that will not switch off. Most of us hear it as noise and keep going.

Body Language is my starting program. Over 12 weeks, you name what brought you in, find where you feel it in your body, and learn to connect with it and communicate clearly. It is a skill of attention. You practice it with me until you can do it on your own.

In week 2, we find your breath pace. At about six breaths a minute, you find a pace your body can call home base. Every week after that builds from there.

Twelve weeks teaches you the skill. It does not promise a result.

The three steps.

  • Weeks 1 to 3Name itSay what brought you here, in a sentence you can point to. If you add a QHHT session, the images and symbols from it can help you name what you are working on.
  • Weeks 4 to 7Place itFind where you feel it in your body, and learn to stay with it without bracing.
  • Weeks 8 to 12Connect with itHold your attention on that spot and communicate with it clearly. Then build a daily practice that is yours to keep.

What a week looks like.

  • One 60-minute session with me, at the studio or online
  • A check-in on how your week went, how your body is today, and where your issue sits from 0 to 10
  • One idea, taught in plain language
  • Practice, guided by me, so you feel the idea instead of only hearing it
  • One thing to notice during the week. There is no homework.

The 12 weeks.

Name it

Weeks 1 to 3

  • 1
Presence. Feel the ground under you and say what brought you here.
  • 2
Yama. Separate the issue from the story, and find your home base breath.
  • 3
Niyama. Finish a sentence that names your issue.

Place it

Weeks 4 to 7

  • 4
Asana. Find where the issue lives in a steady pose.
  • 5
Pranayama. Notice what your breath does near that spot.
  • 6
The Middle Path. Let tension go from a place of safety.
  • 7
Pratyahara. Turn your attention inward and rest it on the spot.

Connect with it

Weeks 8 to 12

  • 8
Dharana. Hold your attention on the spot, lightly.
  • 9
The Field. Communicate from a better feeling.
  • 10
Dhyana. Keep it light, inside a wide field of awareness.
  • 11
Samadhi. Rest, and notice what is already settled.
  • 12
Presence in the Field. Write the practice you will keep.

What you learn.

  • Name what is bothering you in a sentence you can point to
  • Find where you feel it in your body
  • Connect with it and communicate with it on purpose
  • Return to a steady breath pace when stress rises
  • Leave with a daily practice that is yours to keep

Add a QHHT session.

You can add a QHHT hypnotherapy session early on, in the first two weeks.

It is one session of about five hours, at my studio, so it is in person only. It can give us a shared language for the work: images and symbols that mean something to you, and a clear sense of what we are working on. What comes up is your own experience. I treat it as material to work with, and it is not a diagnosis or a prediction. The weekly sessions work just as well without it.

$600 with this program. Learn more about QHHT.

Price and terms.

Body Language is $2,500.

Half is due when you register, and the other half in week 3. Add your partner for $75 more per session.

I will reschedule or make up a missed session, as long as you give me at least 24 hours’ notice. Without notice, it counts as a no-show, and we cover both weeks of material in your next session. This is a commitment, for both of us. The full terms are in the coaching agreement.

Every program includes

A weekly session with me, in person or online. Text support on weekdays from 8 to 6.

Who it is for.

Body Language is for leaders, and for anyone with the heart to do the work.

It suits you if you feel stress in your body, find it hard to slow down, or want a steady guide and a clear way forward. No experience with yoga or meditation is needed.

Body Language is coaching. It does not diagnose or treat. If you have pain that is new, severe or getting worse, see a doctor first.

Space is limited to five clients at a time. Whether you are ready to apply or want to talk first, start with the coaching form.
