Your Season to Grow
M.Y.A. — Mindfulness, Yoga & Ayurveda
March / Spring
Spring is the season of renewal. To balance the natural qualities of the season, our yoga practice shifts to lift grogginess, heaviness, and cold — becoming more energized, invigorating, and uplifting. Come learn a little about what Ayurveda says about spring, and move through a sequence designed to support you during this season.
June / Summer
Summer is a season to cool the body and slow down. We'll take rest and enjoy soothing practices like forward folds, opening the side body, and twisting to help release heat. Come learn a little about what Ayurveda says about summer, and support your body and mind with cooling, calming practices.
November / Fall
In Ayurveda, fall and winter are considered one season — a time of a lot of movement, dryness, and cold. This is when our practice should turn warming, grounding, and settling. Come discover something new about Ayurveda, along with practices designed to calm and soothe the body and mind.
Ready to grow?
Reserve your spot for this seasonal workshop series with Kendra Jackson on Sat. Nov. 14 at 12:30 pm.
M.Y.A. is a combination of mindfulness, yoga, and Ayurveda. In this series of workshops, you'll discover how to use these three practices together to build a truer understanding of yourself, and to actually live your practice, not just show up for it.
Each session includes a mindfulness practice to help you cultivate a calm, energized mind through awareness of the breath; a seasonal yoga practice to help you find balance in the physical body through movement suited to that time of year; and a 30-minute talk on Ayurveda, exploring how to nourish your body and mind through diet and lifestyle practices that support long-term health, in every season of life.
