The Grounded Movement at Inner Space
We make space.A pioneering yoga studio in Riverdale, Bronx, with copper grounding under every mat.
Somatic yoga and Pilates, felt from the inside out. Slow, strong and everything between, seven days a week.
New here? 3 classes for $50, or 2 weeks unlimited for $60.

Made by hand
The city takes up your space. We make more.
We painted the walls ourselves, built the furniture, and laid the copper grid into the floor.
Every class is taught with clarity and warmth.
From our community
Best of the Bronx, in their words.
"Inner Space Yoga has been truly life-changing for me… The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive, and they create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, regardless of experience level. Every class is both challenging and restorative, and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived."LLauren T.Google review
"A gem of a yoga studio! Ben is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive to each student's needs no matter their level of expertise. I often bring my parents to the Yin class and Ben makes sure they feel comfortable and supported — they really enjoy it."DDonna F.Google review
"Inner Space Yoga is a hidden gem in Riverdale. I've gotten stronger and become more meditative in my practice, and I love that I've gained a yoga community."KKyira H.Google review
"I haven't attended yoga classes at a studio in a while because I'm very picky about content… If I'm going to go to a studio it has to be worthwhile. Inner Space Yoga is that studio. Ben has a lot of knowledge and there are a lot of variety in classes."EEmily H.Google review
The grid
There's a difference between a space that feels grounding and one that's actually grounded.

We built the real thing into the floor, so your body connects with the earth for the whole class.
Three rows of copper strips run across the top of the bamboo floor, six mats to a row, 18 in all, wired to a grounded outlet. Double-sided grounding mats rest right on top.
Every class here is somatic at heart — less about how a pose looks, more about how it feels from the inside.
Why it matters: Concrete, rubber soles, and long hours indoors keep us cut off from the earth. Early research on grounding suggests that reconnecting this way may ease inflammation, support deeper sleep, and help your body unwind. We've felt it ourselves, and we think you will too.
What it feels like
Within minutes, your nervous system settles. By the end, you feel awake in every limb.
Inside the studio
Room to breathe, made by hand, and connected to the earth.

Our classes
Claim Your Mat on the Grid
A slow, deeply restorative practice on one end, a strong, sweat-building flow on the other, and everything in between. The pace changes. The ground underneath you doesn't.
Build a routine that balances you. The schedule is made for three or more visits a week, mixing a sweaty day with a quiet one. Some students stack two back to back.
